VerdictIQ Terms of Service

Effective Date: 01 August 2026 ยท Last Updated: 07 August 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you ("you" or "User") and VerdictIQ ("VerdictIQ," "we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of the VerdictIQ mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By creating an account, accepting an invitation from another user, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the Service. By using VerdictIQ, you represent that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. The Service is not directed at, and should not be used by, anyone under 18.

2. Description of the Service

VerdictIQ allows two users ("Parties") to each submit their perspective on a personal or relationship dispute. Once both sides are submitted, an artificial intelligence system generates an automated "verdict" consisting of a fault assessment and written analysis. VerdictIQ also offers an "AI Counsellor" chat feature that provides general relationship guidance in response to user questions.

The Service is for informational and personal purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional legal, medical, financial, or licensed therapeutic advice, mediation, or counseling, and nothing generated by the Service constitutes such advice. See Section 8 (AI-Generated Content) below.

3. Accounts

  • You must provide accurate, current information when creating an account and keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
  • You must notify us promptly at verdictai@yahoo.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
  • One account may not be shared between multiple people.

4. Inviting a Partner

When you create a dispute, you may invite another individual ("Partner") to submit their own side by providing their name and email address or sharing an invite code.

By inviting a Partner, you represent that:

  1. You have a good-faith basis for believing the Partner is a real person who consents to being contacted about this dispute; and
  2. You will not use the invitation feature to harass, impersonate, or contact someone who has asked not to be contacted.

Your Partner is not obligated to respond, and VerdictIQ cannot compel a response. If your Partner does not wish to receive further invitations, they may opt out or request deletion of their information as described in our Privacy Policy.

5. User Content and License

"User Content" means any text, argument, dispute description, or message you submit to the Service, including content submitted to the AI Counsellor.

  • You retain ownership of your User Content.
  • You grant VerdictIQ a limited license to host, store, transmit, reproduce, and process your User Content (including transmitting it to third-party AI providers) solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.
  • You are solely responsible for your User Content. You represent that you have the right to submit it and that it does not violate any law or the rights of any third party.
  • Content submitted about a Partner must be truthful to the best of your knowledge and must not be defamatory, harassing, or submitted in bad faith.

We do not claim ownership of your User Content and do not use it to train our own general-purpose models.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or to harass, threaten, defame, or abuse another person;
  • Submit false, misleading, or impersonated information about yourself or a Partner;
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the Service or its underlying AI systems;
  • Use the Service to generate content involving minors in any sexual, exploitative, or abusive context;
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service;
  • Use the Service to make decisions with legal, custodial, medical, or financial consequences without independent professional advice;
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service without our written consent.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section, with or without notice.

7. Subscriptions, Billing, and Cancellation

  • Certain features of the Service require a paid subscription ("Plan"). Pricing and billing frequency are displayed at the time of purchase.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless canceled before the renewal date.
  • Payments are processed through the Apple App Store, Google Play, or another third-party payment processor, and are subject to their respective terms and refund policies. VerdictIQ does not directly process or store full payment card details.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time through your device's app store account settings or the Manage Subscription option in the app. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; we do not provide prorated refunds for partial periods except where required by law or platform policy.
  • We may change subscription pricing prospectively, with notice provided before the change applies to your next billing cycle.

8. AI-Generated Content

Verdicts and AI Counsellor responses are generated automatically by artificial intelligence systems.

  • No guarantee of accuracy or fairness. AI-generated output may be incomplete, inaccurate, biased, or simply wrong. VerdictIQ does not warrant that any verdict reflects an objectively correct or legally meaningful determination of fault.
  • Not professional advice. Nothing generated by the Service is legal, medical, financial, or licensed therapeutic advice.
  • No liability for reliance. You assume full responsibility for any decisions or actions you take based on content generated by the Service.
  • If you are experiencing domestic abuse, a safety threat, or a mental health crisis, please contact local emergency services or a qualified professional โ€” VerdictIQ is not equipped to help in emergencies.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, logos, and the VerdictIQ name and mark, are owned by VerdictIQ and its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited license to use the Service as intended, no rights are granted to you in our intellectual property.

10. Termination

  • You may delete your account at any time through account settings or by contacting verdictai@yahoo.com.
  • We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, pose a risk to other users, or if required by law.
  • Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 5, 8, 9, 11, 12, and 13) will survive.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We do not warrant the accuracy, reliability, or outcome of any AI-generated content.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, VerdictIQ and its providers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or relationship outcomes, arising from your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD 50.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless VerdictIQ from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your User Content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third party's rights (including a Partner's).

14. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will first be attempted to be resolved informally by contacting verdictai@yahoo.com.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via the app or by email before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

16. Miscellaneous

  • Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and VerdictIQ regarding the Service.
  • Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
  • No Waiver: Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
  • Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
